Sudhan Nagarajan, M.D., FACS, RPVI, is the chair of the cardiovascular service line at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
He received his medical degree from Madras Medical College/Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R Medical University in Chennai, India. He received his Master of Surgery (M.S) from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) in India.
Dr. Sudhan obtained his membership in the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCSEd) in Edinburgh, United Kingdom. He then received his Master of Chirurgie (M.Ch) in cardiothoracic surgery from Madras Medical College/Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R Medical University in Chennai, India.
He started his general surgery residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and completed his residency at the Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. He then completed his vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Tennessee in Memphis and subsequently his cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine/Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
Dr. Sudhan is an experienced cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon. He performs a wide range of open heart surgeries and vascular surgeries. He prides himself on providing compassionate care for each of his patients.
Dr. Sudhan enjoys playing tennis, badminton and golf in his spare time. He also has a passion for practicing yoga and singing classical Indian melodies. He resides in Gadsden with his wife and two children.
