About
Ammar Ahmed, M.D., is an interventional cardiologist dedicated to helping patients receive advanced heart care close to home. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease and other cardiovascular conditions.
Dr. Ahmed provides a range of minimally invasive heart procedures, including cardiac catheterization, coronary angioplasty and stent placement, as well as advanced cardiovascular imaging and diagnostic testing.
He completed his medical education at St. George’s University School of Medicine and advanced training in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at Henry Ford Providence Hospital. Dr. Ahmed is board certified in internal medicine and holds additional certifications in echocardiography, cardiac CT, and nuclear cardiology.
Dr. Ahmed is proud to be part of the Alabama Cardiovascular Group team and looks forward to providing compassionate, high-quality cardiovascular care to patients throughout the community.
