Katie Novitski, M.D., MPH, brings extensive experience in bariatric and general surgery, with knowledge in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted techniques. She most recently served with the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB)'s department of surgery, providing inpatient and outpatient care. She is board certified in general surgery and certified as a bariatric and metabolic surgeon.
Novitski earned her Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed her general surgery residency at Brookwood Baptist Health. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from Samford University.
She offers a broad range of procedures, including minimally invasive and robotic general surgery, bariatric and revisional weight loss surgery, gastrointestinal procedures, endoscopy and abdominal wall reconstruction, along with a variety of advanced bedside and procedural interventions.
