Martha "Shawn" Morehead, M.D., is committed to delivering quality, patient-centered care and promoting the well-being and physical health of each patient. Dr. Morehead believes that being a family medicine physician and educator is about three things: strong relationships with her patients and residents; setting, maintaining, and teaching a standard of excellence in patient care; and being a patient advocate and standard-bearer for her profession as primary care physicians.
Dr. Morehead attended medical school at the University of Miami and competed her residency at Medical Center East (St. Vincent's East) in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Morehead is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Morehead is passionate about medical missions, and she has spent a significant amount of time overseas.
